Corps Africa is a 501(c)3 organization founded in 2011 that empowers college-educated African youth to serve in rural communities, helping them identify and solve local challenges. Inspired by the Peace Corps model, Corps Africa places volunteers in remote areas for up to a year, facilitating small-scale projects that promote local ownership and resilience. Since its inception, the organization has expanded to 10 countries and completed over 800 community-driven projects, focusing on economic development, education, and health. Corps Africa aims to transform the development sector by fostering local solutions and building capacity within communities, ultimately striving to expand its reach to all 54 African countries in the next decade.
