Position Purpose Summary
Based in Amman, and under the guidance of the Finance & Operations Director, the Finance Officer s/he will also manage the day-to-day financial operations and ensure compliance with all IREX, USAID, and USG requirements. In addition, under the guidance of his/her manager, s/he will monitor program budget, provide required reporting, and maintaining financial records for all program activities.
Performs additional duties and tasks to meet the needs of the organization, team, or as assigned by the manager.

Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of financial compliance, reporting processes, and USAID regulations (2 CFR 200 & 700, 22 CFR 226, SAM database).
- Experience managing donor-supported development projects, including USAID-funded programs.
- Familiarity with local laws, labor regulations, and reporting requirements in Jordan.
- Proficiency in financial management practices, including budgeting, projections, variance analysis, bank reconciliations, and audits.
- Ability to prepare financial reports, manage payroll, taxes, benefits, and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Data collection, analysis, and database management skills.
- Strong interpersonal, cross-cultural communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Fluency in English (oral and written); Arabic proficiency is a plus.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to support colleagues.

Final compensation will be based on the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
