JOB SUMMARY:
Nutra Blend is an industry leader in manufacturing and distributing quality vitamin, trace mineral, micro-ingredients and antibiotic premixes for the feed industry.
Pay: $24 per hour
Shift: First Shift - start time can range between 4am - 6am and end at 12:30pm -2:30pm.
The QA Technician will be responsible to liaise with Operations to ensure a safe wholesome finished product, which meets our customer’s specifications. This is accomplished by conforming to all standards within the LOL Quality Management Systems. Performs analyses, inspection, and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, quantitative assays on samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property. Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance. Performs required inspections, checks, analysis and documentation of studies. Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports. Reviews production records for conformance to procedures. Evaluates non-conforming results and initiates re-sampling, re-testing, and/or hold procedures.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associates degree or 3-5 years of applicable experience
- Basic computer skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Age: 18 years or older
- Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions.
- Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes.
- Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times without exception.
- Technology: Ability to utilize Windows-based PC programs
- Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:
- Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
- Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
- Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
- Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
