Product Delivery and Content are responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of educational digital and print products used to support teaching and learning globally. We work with colleagues and partner organisations to successfully deliver new educational assessment and learning content, leading project initiatives to ensure current products are of the highest quality.

The role of the Content Editor is to take an active role in the development and trialling of new items. In addition to new content, the Content Editor will contribute to the construction of assessments by carrying out a range of QA checks.

  • Please note this is a fixed term contract up to May 2026

Content Editor Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking QA checks on new assessments, including construction checks, end-user checks and marking checks
  • Managing freelancers (e.g., item writers, illustrators, software developer, curriculum consultants)
  • Reviewing of new items against item-writing briefs, guidelines (and national curriculum where appropriate) to ensure suitability of content and feeding back to item writers
  • Uploading of new items to database, liaising with the software developer if needed
  • Monitoring of item bank for quality and relevance of older items
  • Collaborating with item writers to develop brand-new item types

Skills and experience you can bring:

  • Well organised and able to manage multiple projects effectively; thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • A confident communicator.
  • Able to take initiative, offering effective solutions to problems.
  • A thorough and meticulous approach with a keen eye for detail; has a good understanding of the importance of rigorous quality assurance processes within assessment publishing
  • Interested in education and willing to develop knowledge of UK and international educational systems.
  • Confident using MS Office and internal systems

Additional information:

We offer a salary up to £27,000 plus benefits. Please note this is a fixed term contract up to May 2026.

This role is based out of our tech hub in Houghton-Le-Spring – ideally hybrid so you can spend 2 days a week with the team and the rest from home.
