Project description
Namibia Development Foundation (NAMDEF) and Nakayale Private Academy for Orphans & Marginalized Children (NPA) have requested the support of Peace Corps Response Volunteers (PCRVs) to serve as Fundraising and Income Generation Advisors. A need for additional support has been identified to strengthen NAMDEF’s and NPA’s resource mobilization systems and support income-generating initiatives that align with each organization’s mission and ongoing needs. This includes building the capacity of staff to identify donors, draft compelling proposals, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
The PCRVs will co-develop a realistic and diversified fundraising strategy that includes local fundraising, international donors, corporate partnerships, and community-driven initiatives. The PCRVs will also contribute to improving internal tools for grant tracking, reporting, and donor communication, and they may also explore other possible sustainability models.

Required Skills
- BA/BS degree in business, economics, management or other relevant field.
- 5 or more years of experience working in an NGO or a donor-driven organization.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Specialized expertise in prospect/donor identification, grant writing for the non-profit or international development sectors.
- Experience in training specific to grant writing, fundraising and proposal development.
