Project description
The Alliance of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises from Moldova (AIM) has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as a Fundraising Strategy Advisor. AIM is dedicated to support the growth and sustainability of SMEs by providing advocacy, capacity-building programs, and networking opportunities. One of the key challenges the organization faces is securing sustainable funding to expand its programs and increase its impact. While AIM has successfully implemented various projects supporting entrepreneurs, there is a growing need to develop a long-term fundraising strategy; diversify funding sources; and strengthen partnerships with donors, sponsors, and private sector stakeholders.
The PCRV will work closely with the executive team in developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy and researching potential funding opportunities, drafting grant proposals, and establishing partnerships with businesses and donor organizations. The PCRV will also collaborate with AIM staff to ensure knowledge transfer, equipping the team with the necessary skills and tools to continue fundraising efforts beyond the volunteer’s assignment.

Required Skills
- BA/BS degree in business, economics, management or other relevant field
- 5 or more years of experience working in an NGO or a donor-driven organization.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Specialized expertise in prospect/donor identification, grant writing for the non-profit or international development sectors.
- Experience in training specific to grant writing, fundraising and proposal development.
