Secretariat of Economic Development of Atlantico, Subsecretary of Business Development in Colombia has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer to serve as an Entrepreneurship and Small Business Advisor. The Subsecretary of Business Development has identified the need to strengthen the entrepreneurship and business management skills of merchants in Atlántico. Providing access to free, quality training opportunities to small businesses in rural areas is a priority for the local government.
The PCRV will collaborate with microentrepreneurs who are interested in internationalizing their products and improving their business-related English. The PCRV will also collaborate directly with the Economic Development Office to formulate and implement plans and programs to improve the competitiveness of microentrepreneurs in Atlántico.

Required Skills
- BA/BS degree in business, administration, marketing, entrepreneurship, or Business Education. Formal training in entrepreneurship.
- Experience working in a start-up, social enterprise or running a small business.
- Experience developing business plans.
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience facilitating adult training.
