Project description
The Macondo Lab Business Growth and Innovation Center at Simon Bolivar University in Colombia has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as a Youth Development Specialist/Youth Educator. The mental health awareness and suicide prevention program emphasizes the importance of identifying early warning signs and activating appropriate response protocols in educational environments. This includes addressing student demotivation, emotional challenges that affect social interactions, poor communication, and social isolation.
The PCRV will support the Quality Education technical team in developing a proposal to strengthen socio-emotional and personal entrepreneurship skills in secondary education. The PCRV will also design and facilitate virtual, in-person, and hybrid training workshops on pedagogical strategies for university professors to develop socio-emotional skills in students between the ages of 16 and 25.

Required Skills
- MA/MS in Social Work, Counseling, Clinical Psychology
- 3 or more years of relevant experience, such as in organizational development/capacity building, social work for youth, or experience serving youth organizations.
