Project description
The National College of Trade of the Moldova Academy of Economic Studies (AESM) has requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as a Trade School English Curriculum Specialist. Linguistic education is a topic of high interest in the academic environment, and the competency to communicate in English could generate transformation on all levels in the educational system of Moldova. AESM has identified a need for support derived from the main problem at the institutional level: lack of foreign language (English) inclusiveness for the beneficiaries.
The PCRV will develop and improve English competences of the teachers in order to achieve the conversational/writing levels in English, by organizing courses/activities/trainings for the nominated beneficiaries. The PCRV will also strengthen students’ and teachers’ intercultural communication, personal development, and career development skills.

Required Skills
- BA in education plus 3 or more years of relevant experience, including teaching and curriculum development, and teaching certification/license OR MA in education plus 2 or more years of relevant experience.
- Specialized experience in one of the following areas: Early Childhood; Literacy; Adult English Ed; Vocational English Ed; or Special Education.
