Activity/project background
World Vision Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office (WVLACRO) requires specialized support in content development and search engine optimization (SEO). Collaborating with a Virtual Service Pilot Participant (VSPP) on this engagement will strengthen the organization’s ability to effectively engage external audiences in its priority areas: child protection, psychosocial support, socioeconomic inclusion and livelihoods, food security and nutrition, and mental health.
The VSPP will support these objectives by working collaboratively with WVLACRO's External Engagement team to co-design, co-develop, and co-implement strategies and content that enhance the visibility and reach of WVLACRO’s initiatives. The VSPP will contribute their knowledge and expertise to the projects, programs, and activities that World Vision implements across the Latin America and Caribbean region within these thematic areas.
The organization has previously collaborated with the Peace Corps. They understand that the role of a VSPP is very different than a two-year Volunteer.
Engagement and tasks
The VSPP will engage in the following tasks, in collaboration with their Host Country Partners:
Online collaboration will generally occur between 9:00 a.m. - 06:00 p.m. Ecuador time. Specific times will be determined during orientation.
The Host Country Counterpart will have access to Zoom, Teams, and WhatsApp for regular communication and collaboration.
Per the Child Protection Code of Conduct, when engaging online with minors (0-18), two adults must be present.

- Conduct keyword research aligned with WVLACRO’s priority topics, including migration, food security, livelihoods, and mental health
- Co-develop and optimize blog articles, landing pages, and digital content, ensuring accessibility and relevance for external audiences
- Co-analyze and interpret performance metrics to inform ongoing improvements
- Support the External Engagement team in developing editorial guidelines that promote brand consistency across platforms
- Contribute to the implementation of inbound marketing strategies that engage new audiences and strengthen connections with key stakeholders

Language: Advanced Spanish proficiency
Experience:
- 2 years in the areas of digital content creation, keyword research, and SEO strategy development
- Utilization of content platforms, such as WordPress or HubSpot
