Project description
Cancer services in Eswatini are still developing, with efforts focused on prevention, early detection, treatment, palliative care and surveillance. The country is implementing its National Cancer Control Strategy, aiming to improve cancer care access, diagnosis, and survival rates. The key focus areas include: Cancer Prevention, Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment, Childhood cancer treatment, Cancer Patient Navigation and Support, Cancer Data and Surveillance, Palliative Care for Cancer Patients.
A Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) is requested to assist in the capacity strengthening of the national cancer control program focused on cervical cancer elimination by enhancing communication systems and promoting behavioral change within communities. The PCRV will work alongside local health workers, organizations, and leaders to implement effective health promotion strategies, aiming to raise awareness around cervical cancer prevention and screening. No PCV has previously been hosted by the program.

Required Skills
- BA in Communications, Marketing or Public Health OR MA in Public Health
- With BA, 3 or more years of experience with social behavior change communications and project management.
- OR with MA , 2 or more years of experience with social behavior change communications and project management.
- Experience with social and digital marketing campaign implementation.
