Project description
Several Non-Governmental Organizations in Malawi including AGE AFRICA, Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, and Christian Health Association of Malawi have requested the support of a Peace Corps Response Volunteer (PCRV) to serve as a E-learning/Digital learning Specialists. E-learning implementation in Malawi's tertiary institutions and local partner organizations faces significant challenges, hindering effective adoption and utilization.
Some of the challenges in e-learning and digital literacy include limited ICT skills among students and staff, inadequate infrastructure, and a need for customized training programs to build foundational digital skills. Additionally, staff require training on digital tools and platforms to support tertiary scholars effectively. The PCRVs will guide educators in using e-learning platforms effectively and will also foster the integration of digital tools into lesson planning, delivery, and assessment. The overall goal of the assignment is to effect meaningful improvement in educational outcomes at training institution level by implementing an effective model of systemic school improvement in the administration of e-learning activities.
The PCRVs will help develop and implement ICT related curriculums and develop a custom training programs designed to build foundational digital skills, including basic computer operation, internet navigation, email and online communication, Microsoft Office tools, digital research and academic writing tools, and cyber safety. Additionally, PCRVs will train relevant staff on digital tools and platforms necessary for supporting tertiary scholars, such as data collection and management tools. This position aims to achieve sustainable improvements in educational outcomes through the development and implementation of an effective systemic e-learning model in training institutions.

Required Skills
