If you’re ready to support individuals with big ideas for small-scale businesses, Uganda has an exciting opportunity for you.
Uganda has one of the youngest populations in the world, with more than 78% of the population under the age of 35. Despite investments in youth-focused opportunities, the unemployment rates remain alarmingly high with many young people trapped in a cycle of poverty. There is a pressing demand for comprehensive programs that empower young Ugandans to establish their own income-generating activities and prepare for a success career.
As an Economic Empowerment Advisor, you will support groups to improve their savings, develop small-scale businesses, and acquire skills that strengthen their employability. Working alongside community members, you will identify and launch income-generating activities, such as beekeeping and soap making, as well as jam and juice making.
Required Skills
Competitive candidates will have one or more of the following criteria:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in any business discipline
OR
