The Ministry of Rural, Maritime Development and Disaster Management’s 10-year strategic plan prioritizes rural and maritime development to coordinate and improve rural and outer island projects. To accomplish this, the Ministry needs to develop clear data-informed policies on improving rural community infrastructure and accessibility. Regional and international organizations offering better pay can draw qualified data experts away from government work, so there is a significant need to train local people in data collection procedures. The Ministry has requested a skilled Database Technical Specialist to teach their staff to coordinate, collect, and analyze data in a central depository.
As Database Technical Specialist, you will strengthen the Ministry’s database systems to support policy formulation, project planning, and performance monitoring. Alongside your colleagues, you will manage and optimize the rural development database, ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and security.

Required Skills

- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or Business Education. Formal training in entrepreneurship.
- Experience working in a start up or social enterprise, or running a small business
- Experience developing business plans
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills
- Experience facilitating adult training
