Position Overview
TechChange is seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Digital Marketing Manager (Part-Time, Contractor) to lead and execute core marketing workstreams for the Global Digital Health Forum (GDHF).
This position supports the successful execution of GDHF by managing critical aspects of marketing campaigns that are primarily designed to drive ticket sales and secondarily designed to entice sponsorship.
This role is ideal for an early to mid-career self-starter who excels at project management, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is always looking for smart, efficient ways to get things done—especially through the use of AI and automation. The ideal candidate is fluent in modern marketing tools, quick to learn new platforms, and ready to recommend low-cost, high-impact solutions. From campaign development and website coordination to speaker promotion and post-event engagement, this person will be instrumental in driving visibility and engagement across every stage of the event.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and adapt an existing multichannel marketing plan to drive GDHF ticket sales and sponsor interest.
- Develop and coordinate content across web, email, and social platforms using automation and AI tools.
- Maintain and update the GDHF website using CMS tools and streamlined workflows.
- Support speaker and sponsor engagement through coordinated promotional assets and toolkits.
- Curate and amplify social media content during the live event and distribute daily preview emails.
- Manage post-event outreach and content wrap-up campaigns.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including the VP of Business Development.
Scope of Work
This scope of work outlines the tasks and estimated hours associated with this role total 200 hours. The workstreams include:
Campaign Management
This workstream covers the end-to-end execution of an existing marketing campaign plan, including asset creation, messaging, distribution, and performance analysis. Emphasis is placed on leveraging automation and AI tools to accelerate production timelines, ensure consistency across channels, and surface insights through streamlined, data-informed reporting.
Speaker & Sponsor Marketing
This area focuses on amplifying event visibility through speaker and sponsor engagement. Toolkits, promotional assets, and social media content are developed efficiently and at scale, using smart templates and AI-assisted content generation to support timely, high-quality promotion with minimal manual overhead.
Website Management
This workstream manages the structure and content of the GDHF website, ensuring timely updates to key sections like the speaker lineup, agenda, ticketing, and FAQs. It supports a smooth user experience for attendees and stakeholders.
Live Event
This workstream focuses on real-time engagement during the Global Digital Health Forum through light-touch but high-impact communications. It includes curating and amplifying attendee and partner social media posts—using social listening and content aggregation tools to identify and reshare relevant, high-quality content. Additionally, a concise daily email will be sent to participants each morning, previewing key sessions and happenings for the day. Automation and AI-assisted curation help streamline these tasks while keeping communications timely, engaging, and aligned with the GDHF brand.
Post-Event Marketing
This workstream includes the creation and dissemination of wrap-up content, highlight reels, and follow-up campaigns. Efficient asset reuse, automated audience segmentation, and generative content tools help maintain momentum post-event while keeping outreach timely and resource-light.
Other
Cross-functional coordination and ad hoc support tasks are streamlined through the use of collaborative platforms, templated workflows, and integrated task management systems—ensuring visibility, responsiveness, and alignment without excess administrative load.
Timeline
July 1 - August 15, 2025: Onboarding & ramp up period
August 16 - November 30, 2025: Pre-event marketing support
Dec 3-5, 2025: Live Event Marketing Support
Dec 6-31, 2025: Post Event Marketing Support
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in marketing, digital communications, or campaign management, ideally in nonprofit, social impact, or global health.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with digital marketing and design tools (e.g., Brevo, Canva, CMS platforms).
- Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to support content creation and workflow automation.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Experience working with virtual or hybrid events preferred.
Compensation
The compensation for this role is $40/hour USD.
Work Environment
This is a remote, contract-based role with flexible hours. Availability during U.S. Eastern Time is needed pre and post-event. Some availability during East Africa Time (EAT) hours will be needed for live event support in early December.
