Fundraising Intern, Development

This is a hybrid position which requires 8 days per month in the office. You can be based in our office in WRI Indonesia, Jakarta. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application submission as WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position.

Program Overview

As a non-profit research institution, WRI Indonesia dedicates its contribution to the socioeconomic development of Indonesia in an inclusive and sustainable way. General Internship Roles

The Fundraising intern will support the Development Team through to enhance operational efficiency and speed-up the proposal development process. The intern will actively involve in the preparation of official correspondence and documents for grants applications, as well as performing essential administrative task to facilitate team objectives, including but not limited to letter creation and co-develop a deck/presentation material. The intern will also be included in basic fundraising research activities especially in identifying potential funding resources, database management, and many other practical experience in a collaborative environment.

This position will be based in Jakarta with office-flex working arrangement, and working under the direct supervision of Donor Stewardship and Fundraising Specialist. In support of WRI's DEI commitment, you are responsible for actively participating in these collaborative efforts by integrating equity into your work, our workplace, and the organizational culture.

What You Will Learn

  • Understand the end-to-end fundraising process and workflow within a non-profit organization.

  • Understand the principles of project management and donor compliance requirements.

  • Enhance organizational skills by managing multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Improve research skills by identifying potential funding opportunities and assessing eligibility criteria.

  • Gain exposure to the environmental and sustainability sector, including relevant policies, stakeholders, and funding landscapes.

  • Understand the Indonesian, ASEAN, and Global environmental landscape and its impact on fundraising activities.

  • Enhance communication and interpersonal skills through interactions with various stakeholders.

What You Will Need

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree program in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Environmental Studies, International Relations).

  • Strong writing and proofreading skills; ability to produce clear, concise, and compelling documents.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in project management, either through campus activities or active participation in university organizations.

  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal.

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Legally able to take internship in Indonesia

Duration

The internship program is expected to start immediately for 4 (four) months period.

Internship Terms

This is a paid internship program. Intern will actively participate on the program activities and entitled for a compensation on monthly basis.
